Listening: 'Love song' by Sara Bareilles
Uni is finally over but I had to catch that nasty flu on the final week of rushing deadlines and 5 illustrations. I'm being tested by the big guy but I got through. I'm not sure whether I did well but I don't care. It's really hard to paint when your body is aching, your eyes are crossed-eyed and teary. Tough but now I'm just recovering from the flu.
I've been having the house to myself for the 6 days so far? I'm have surprised myself by coping much better than I thought which is good. Been resting but for the past two nights, I simply can't sleep. I'm tired, I've got a headache but I can't fall asleep. Took a panadol, the sleeping stuff that Mom and Dad got me but no. I was up till about 3am-ish. Hoping that my new Betty & Veronica could stir away bad thoughts and sleep peacefully. Didn't help and I woke up at 8. I really can't sleep. It's bad and I know it.
With the sleepless night, I've been channel hopping. Watching a finnish movie and then I watched this new Muslim talkshow called Salam Cafe on SBS. I reckon it's a good show because it bridges the gap between the muslims and the australians and how their culture has integrated. Do click on this link to have a look at the episode I just watched last night.
Salam Cafe
I enjoy the joke about one of the girl's friends who happened to wear a black headscarf and a white headband. She was driving and accidentally cut someone off on the road and the aussie bloke starting swearing. When he had a look at her, he thought she was a nun and started apologising and crossing himself. It's heaps funny.
Made up my mind about Melbourne. Going to meet up with Shih han and I'll have to bring a brolly and thicker jumpers. Adelaide is pretty much a dry state whereas Melbourne is a pretty much...yeah a wet state.
Been on a sour lolly rampage. Well, maybe not a rampage but it started with the sour mentos I saw at the uni cafe. I liked the sour skittles that I tried in Singapore so with the mentos, it's actually quite sweet. Then I told Zeren about the time in Hahndorf where Ned and Stuart were trying out Warheads sprays and drops and they reckon it was sour. Zeren bought another brand when we couldn't find Warheads and it was practically harmless. Bleah. But I went out with mates on monday and found Warheads Drops. So Zeren, it's waiting at home and it comes in better than Extreme. But the ultimate was when these harmless looking delicious fruit lollies which said super sour fruits. I tried one and hoho! It is the King of sour lollies I've ever tried. Most sour lollies let you chew and it goes away fast or they'll do the outer coating of sourness and the sweetness inside. This one is sour throughout and they're not soft and chewy. You'll have to bear with the sourness for 10 minutes. You'll have tons of faces within that time period. I've been eating one a day and I'm getting better at it haha. It's just a kick out of life really.

Listening: 'Apologies' by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals
I have a slow habit of updating my blog. It's most probably due to 'not in the mood' as what girls always say. Or that's what I think. And really busy and chaotic with uni that I don't have much time for myself. This will take about less than 10 minutes to update with photos.
I'm catching up slowly in my work and I've got two great teachers who have been advising me on and off. Geert has been particularly harsh on me so that he could keep pushing me and he's a great guy and knows me abit too well. Maybe because our birthdays are just 5 days apart. He keeps saying 'Claire! You gotta have guts! Be radical!' I'm pretty sure he's unaware of this blog. But I am getting there. I'm always getting there but yeah...I'm on the way to something.
Zeren has a cough and a husky voice. He and I thought that I passed on my few hours cough which I've recovered from it really fast. Then I checked the fruitcake box. We bought fruitcake yesterday because he wanted it. I cut twelve slices and this morning, there was five left! I only had one yesterday while he had six!! Ha! He can't blame me for it now. He's banned from the fruitcake box entirely.
Speaking of which, he'll be leaving for Melbourne next month and going back to Singapore this month. I'm considering flying to Melbourne with him to spend 4 days or so. It's gonna be weird living alone again. I just like the company I've been having in the house and a personal chef (yeah I admit it). Not so quiet and not so lonely. If only, my ducks could come back sooner. They're great company when there isn't too many of them.
The pictures in this entry will be dedicated to the dishes that Zeren's been cooking! He did one in school, we did some together and the chocolate kisses is my idea! Ha! I got it off Better Homes & Gardens and it's the most simplest baking recipe I've encountered. So feast your eyes boys and girls on food.
And I have another craving for a waterproof digital camera. Terrible aren't I? Meg's got one and it's freaking awesome!
