Hidden behind a mask and lost myself...

Best to update after a long while. Be having a 6 day weekend because of the long easter break. Feeling bummed out cos I was not included in surfing but I will carry on with whatever I can find. (Sorry zeren, my blog, I'm writing)

We survived Adelaide's record heat wave. 15 days I reckon? It's autumn and we're having steaming weather. It was a pain just to get out of the house but it's started to cool down and I love it. I can bring my quilt back to my bed and bury myself in it.

School's been going well. I'm glad I spoke to Robin and David about the independent projects. After which David told Geert that he should have a look at my work and he gave his side of the story. Of course, he doesn't know my background yet. This semester's gonna be weird. First 6 weeks before a 2 week break, another 8 weeks before a 6 week break. Zeren's now bummed after I told him. Compared to his uni, he pretty much has a 9-5 day almost everyday.

I survived his commencement/cocktail function. Had to leave class a little early to get some early dinner and spend some time figuring out make up. I kowtow to those girls who are able to put on so much makeup for a night out. Then again, I should kowtow to the drag queens. Yeah claire and call yourself a girl. Fortunately my nice earrings arrived from ebay that morning. Got lots of tape stuck on and the dress was alittle constricting in the knees. Baby steps and I've yet to break into the new shoes. Bought it with mom when she was here. Gosh, my feet were so sore that I felt I've been running in them for days. God bless me with different and special feet haha. It was alright, meeting his teachers and mates. Some of his mates got a bit wuzzy but we headed home after everyone started to leave. No worries, there will be pictures at the end of it.

I bought myself something special. A set of 18 pieces of conte. I love it. Oh well, enjoy easter everyone! Don't go overboard with the eggs.

My favourite season of the year is here. Autumn and easter season. Hot cross buns and chocolates! After the hairdresser, I popped over to Baker's Delight to get some choc chip and traditional buns. Now I got Zeren hooked on it. It's also a bad thing. I reckon we'll be fighting over it. Chocolate chip hot cross buns taste so good. *faints*

I met my neighbour when I was walking in after my swim. I was wondering why she wasn't at work. Apparently she had a cyst removed from her ovaries. It's freaking scary when she showed me the holes where the tubes were. She told me to be careful cos her gynaecologist says she sees this everyday. Apparently, it's the food that women eat. I think I better get back to watching what I eat. With Zeren around, he's cooking heaps of unhealthy meals. Better kick him back to gear on the healthy route. He's the 'add more salt' kinda fellow. Tsk tsk tsk. Haha. I know you'll be reading this dude.

Pretty happy with this week's swim session especially after last week's bad session. Getting there with the flips and the turns are coming along well. Getting there. Now I'm pretty much used to the opal mirrored goggles. I kinda like them especially the silicone strap.

Tomorrow I'll be back to uni. Pretty easy timetable this year but I'm not sure of the workload. Be doing only studio so I can use my days off to work really hard at it. Just have to attend schools on wednesday and friday afternoons. Probably after I graduate, might consider going to Norwood for some life drawing classes. Will ask

Next friday is Zeren's commencement ceremony/cocktail party. I could just faint at the thought of wearing a dress and heels for that occasion. Cocktail parties seem like a really formal thing here. When I told my mates, they went 'oh! You need something dressy!' Made is sound like chinese wedding dinners are just partying dressy type. I'm pretty glad I chopped off my locks cos I don't have to worry about going to the hairdresser or whatever to do what most girls would have done. Nail polish.... Wished I didn't have to wear that but I gotta find some though. Don't really like nail polish. Always scratch and ruin them (by accident, of course) within the next hour. I'm a rough chick, not a girly girl.

I managed to finish Heath Ledger as the Joker piece. Just an idea which came to my head and Zeren said do it, do it! Asked my mates about it and they said the same thing. So it's done and I'm alright about it. More art pieces done in the holidays and looking forward to more from uni.
