Prior to the last post, my mission to retrieve photos has failed terribly. Hope was draining and I'll be passing it to whoever has great computer skills. Sigh...

Went to see the doctor to get my gradisil vaccine and my lumps check. The doctor can't find anything that is causing them, throwing out many possibilities which all read to me 'I do not have a clue'. He said they're usually caused by throat, skin or ear infections - all which I do not have. So I took a blood test and I'll have to wait another two more weeks for the results. It's been 5 days and the area where I had my blood taken out has bruised which is normal but it started to hurt yesterday. Creating numbness up the arm and down the hand. The area where the needle was in, starts to itch. I've never had these problems with blood tests. I was very surprised that my nurse did not rub alcohol into my arm before injecting me with the vaccine. Just pinch and crap, she went deep into the muscle. That was very sore. 2 holes in both arms that day.

Other than that, it seems that Dave never wants me to finish his work but I just had! I'll bring it to him again on friday. Went to Glenelg with Suzy last saturday. Beautiful day with the right temperature of 29 degrees. The past week has been a killer scoring 34 degrees and above. Talk about an early murder in Spring.

I've accumulated 7 ducks now. *shakes head* But the average per visit is usually 5-6 with an occasional new fellow. So there's Jack, Billy, Stewie, Abby, Ditzy and Blue. After Dad left, they came back to the house for food and they'll wait for as long as they have to.

Another week has gone and all my mates have finished their uni work. I'm still left with Dave's. I took up his extension cos I knew I'm gonna need more time with watercolours. I'll redo a sketch for him after this entry.

I took photos of my mate's works on thursday. Everything was working fine and I was even able to preview it on my camera. But when I took the compact flash out of my camera and plug it into the card reader, suddenly the computer could not detect the compact flash at all. I put it back into the camera and the Nikon rejected it! I'm freaking out cos Paul and Gemma were sort of counting on me to post these photos on the illustration blog. CRAP! My compact flash has never failed me until Murphy dropped his law right smack on my head. I'm trying all sorts of image and photo recovery softwares. Waiting for either Ned or Zeren to come online for some help. I think I might need to reformat the card in order for these softwares to pull anything out. It's only registering the 2G left of space which I didn't use. ARGH!

Ok, on the calmer side...*takes a deep breath* I've been toying another idea in my head. Hopefully I'll be able to visit Wyoming and Savannah. Watched Flicka twice just to enjoy the views of Wyoming. Gosh! I'm blown away. Pretty odd. I'm raised in an urban area but inside, I'm a country girl. I'm just always looking for wide open spaces. If you throw in a surf, it's a bonus!

Listening: Peace and quiet

There's one good reason for the peace and quiet in the house. My TV gave up on me. I bought this box from a warehouse sale and it was cheap. Didn't have a remote, alittle outdated. But it was still wonderful with the three channels it provided me. The screen turned bright red yesterday morning so my TV bled to death but there's still proper sound coming out. The bright red was just too much for the eye.

Last thursday was the official last day of uni but we have a week to go for our assignments. I'll be handing up Robin's work on thursday and I've been given another week for Dave's work. Dad arrived yesterday and so I had accompany him and his colleagues from Singapore up to the Adelaide Hills. I felt bad for them cos I told Dad to warn his mates about the cold. But he didn't know it'll be that cold. I did! Let them feed the ducks at the Hahndorf resort and the kangaroos. The ducks were like mini jaws with no teeth. But they were violent in snatching food out of your hand. They snap their beak right on your fingers. The kangaroos are so much demure in their eating. It's so gentle that it's a welcoming change. Reckon God could put a kangaroo under the tree with the ducks outside my place?

Just got back from swimming. Slowly getting back into shape because last wednesday's session was terrible. Some big dude timing his laps. Yeah yeah...take advantage of the small girl in your lane. I was given 1/3 of the lane to swim. *growls* At least today's session was slow and tiring for the first 15 laps, but the rest was much better. Relaxing and getting my stamina back.

For the past few days, I've been wondering the whole big brother thing. As a kid, I always wanted a big brother but I ended up with a big sister. Till now, I always wished for a big brother figure in my life. Then again, I have my guy mates in uni. As I'm with the blokes, they're more or less like my brothers, only I'm older. Where's the wisdom? Oops! Yeah I know. It's just wishful thinking I'll get a big brother.

Been thinking alot about the art academy program in the US and I'm pretty keen on it. Most of us are but it's still down to the money issue. Mom's like 'choose between the car or the academy?' Duh...academy. I've been living fine without a car for almost two years. I'll work and save up for that couple of grand.

Thanks Zeren for keeping me entertained last night. The no-tv night just felt quiet and I've got fencing in the painting to finish. Here are the pics from last thursday. The illustration class headed to World's End for some drinks.
