Listening: 'See the world' By Gomez

Almost done preparing for tuesday's assessment. Just have to pop into Atkins after swimming tomorrow to collect my mounts. How freaking expensive are they. I went back to uni on thursday to see Toby. He was really really nice. He came in especially that morning to print my work and he didn't charge me anything when he told the class he would! I had to double, triple check with him when he had his final say 'don't worry about it'. I just hope he's just as nice when it comes to assessment. After that on tuesday, gonna go for a good treat at chocolate bean with couple of mates. We deserve something after working so hard.

Speaking of working hard, it feels like it was just luck i was able to paint my assignments. Right now, I'm trying to paint my own stuff and I can't paint for shit. Seriously I can't paint at all! Who am I kidding? I'm so frustrated with myself cos whatever I do, I screw up. *@#$@*^$%@#$&* Talent, my flat ass.

I was thinking a couple of months ago, cos i heard on the radio that this year is princess diana's 10th year anniversary since the accident. 10 years ago, I still remember the day I found out about her accident. It was a sunday, came home from church and logged onto a chatline. People were saying she died. I thought it was some joke. Couldn't possibly happen. Took a while for this bloke to convince me and I told dad. Dad switched on the telly and there it was 'breaking news'. Creepy feeling I had then. I was also thinking 10 years ago, at 13, I wouldn't have guessed where I'll be 10 years later. At that age, I was thinking of being a marine biologist. And here I am, doing illustration and can't paint at all.

Following that, a couple of days ago, I was thinking about the same 10 years ago. That year, 1997, made me who I am. So much stuff happened that year that I developed habits. Keeping to myself is one of them. I don't like to talk about or share problems. Zeren hates it. I start to reject and detest some stuff. I became a more determined person, pushing myself harder. As a result, I'm tougher on myself than anybody else. I'm very negative towards myself. I hide certain emotions. That year sure changed me alot. Better or worse, I don't know. I sorta like who I am right now...sorta... maybe.

Wish I have more luck in painting and drawing now. Inject more luck to this unlucky person! I did send out a mass email to my classmates about the exhibition and only two people replied. Just fantastic. Here I am trying to come out with more work for that exhibition. I also wanted to set up my website but will I be able to do it? Still have yet to look for dentist. The thought of surgery is freaking me out. Shivering at home but good old small heater helps and now I sleep with the bear jacket. My ears get cold easy and makes it so uncomfortable to sleep. So the hood is a life saver. Think I am really turning into a real bear, munkle.

Yay! Both paintings are done and now I'm left with photography. Hopefully Toby was able to get hold of the right paper and the printer would actually print properly this time. We did a test print and boy did it smudge. Toby said it must be the paper but luckily it was free. Phew! A friend of mine spent $200 on printing his photos at Atkins. I think I rather take my chance with Toby and only spend $6. Followed by spending alot more on the mounts. *faints*

Before I continue, I keep forgetting to mention this. My singapore mobile number has been cancelled. Tried to top it up past the expiry date but of no luck. So Starhub took away the number. If anything, you guys can email or msn me for my aussie mobile. It kinda suck cos it was a fantastic number. So similar to my aus number. *growls at Starhub*

It was amazing to look at the different work in studio. Pretty blown away by a couple of them. I spent 8 hours the day before painting and somehow I feel that something is still missing in that painting but I can't figure out what it is. It could be I stared at it too long. I did track my process but I forgot to track the in between process of certain parts.

Final

Last day of school and we went for some schitnzels at Colonel's Light Pub. Huge and good for me. I'm such a pig being the only girl who finished it. Yes ben, you and I are fatties. I eat alot more during winter. Oops!

During the holidays I'll have to keep on working. Tonight I will start on the sketch on Hilarie Burton. She's a cool character both on screen and off screen so I'll see what i can do. For now, I'll have to contact a dentist to make an appointment to have a look to see what kinda surgery I'll need to get those bottom wisdom teeth out. Again, I wish I was an australian citizen. I was talking to Munkle and the government paid for his braces and wisdom tooth surgery. How freaking awesome is that? Oh well, right now I'm hoping the dentist I choose ain't *coughs* rac--- *coughs*. I will die at that table, with blood flowing outta my mouth. Ok, I'm kidding.

Yes, lots of to do in June. Have to fix up that storage problems, assessment. Fix up a flash, keep painting like no one's business. I'm still a baby in this so forgive me if they suck. Currently, I'm very sore. I think it's that new exercise I'm trying out and over strained myself. Left thigh, sides and ribs are the worse areas and I crack in any move I make. Loose joints and very stiff I may add. Think I slept in pain last night. Walking is alittle painful too. How weak am I haha.

Happy birthday mom!

Hope ya had a great one and phew, my card arrived on time.

Winter has arrived. Sorry guys for not updating. Rushing for assignments and thursday is my last day officially but I still have to work alittle bit into the holidays since my photography deadline got extended which is really good.

Let's see what happened in the week. Got caught in the windstorm with Renee after visiting both the art museum and museum (again!). The brolly was of no use that we had to seek shelter in the parliament house. We weren't the only ones. I really hate windstorms but luckily i had a heavy bag to keep me grounded, literally.

I keep pushing people alittle lately. I want to get things done and get over it so that I can concentrate on other stuff. Poor Toby gets most of it. Toby! Where's the paper? Luckily, he's still cool about it. I hope?

Suddenly the idea that Renee, Stuart and I talked about really does seem like a really good idea but whether to go ahead, is another thing. We were all talking about how a couple of us will be working on our portfolios during the holidays. We could rent a space in some gallery (maybe the Hahndorf Academy), all pitched in for the money and hang our works and sell them if possible. It's a great idea but we'll see how it goes. If those people from uni are reading this post, what ya reckon?

Yesterday was the big photoshoot with Suzy and Camilla. In the morning, I made a last decision to include Camilla as my model. Just had too as I had an idea. I thought I was early but Suzy was there even earlier to put on her makeup! Wow! Suzy and Camilla are really professional. No professional training in modelling but seriously, it's like they've done it before or something. It went way way better than I thought with doing lots of experimenting. I'm so blessed to have gorgeous friends and that's why I'm behind the camera for a reason, and not in front. To quote my mom, i look like a sloppy jane. I begged to differ! I look average!

This video has been in the news that I had to share it with you guys. I wish I could dance that well in my own house. And Daniel Johns? You have my full attention for the rest of today.
