Happy 1 year anniversary!
Yup it's been one year for me and zeren. Funny how the first thing people come online and the first thing they ask 'are you guys still together?' It's been all good though I wish he was here :( *hugs* Zeren, personal message has been enclosed.
It's been a really eventful week. Everytime I log on to the internet, I don't have time to write my blog so it's friday and I can finally sit down and write. First week back into school. Good to see everyone with their new hair. It's either coloured or cut real short as usual. I was asking Renee about singapore cos she just came back from her holiday with her mom and sis. Her mom works there. Telling me about the prata she had. Yums! I miss that alot!
Tuesday was Anzac day. A day to remember those who have fought in the war. Actually it was also the day I met up with my sis's friend's colleague's friend. Long chain eh? She contacted me to meet her for a cuppa. Rundle Mall was all quiet except for the old men dressed in their uniforms, preparing to march. Somehow it's pretty emotional especially I start to remember the man I wish I knew, my grandpa. Wish he was here to tell me how he fought on the Kokoda Trail in Papau New Guinea. I didn't know him but I miss him somehow.
Back to the long chain friend, her name is Janine. We were talking and watching the march. She was really sweet to send me back home in her car. I love her car! I needed to rush home to finish up my photographs and colour grid. It's a tough project cos you have to find photos to match the colour grid that you made.
Wednesday. During the break, Camilla and I headed to Grenfell Street to check out the mega huge surf shop. There's a huge sale going on. Too bad I didn't have enough cash and time and I had my hands full with my huge folder containing my colour grid. We took the free bus back where we met a middle-aged singapore couple. Guy was talking most of the time. He graduated from the same uni as us and he thought I was from here. We were already sorta late for class when our bus nearly had an accident with a cab. Cab driver was in the wrong cos he was reversing out without looking. He gave our bus driver the finger. Man our bus driver was seriously pissed. He pulled over the crowded bus, got off, stood in front of the cab. Took out his notepad and wrote down his license number. The whole bus went 'ooh!'. Driver got back on and continued his journey while you can see the cab driver had 'many' to say.
We were only 5 minutes late and we did our show and tell with our photographs. Our teacher got so pissed today. Only 6 of us completed the correct assignment for the day while everyone did friday's work. She got so fed up that she minus off 10% of those who didn't do the grid. Lucky me! Phew!
As usual i finish school on wednesday evenings and now by 6, it's pitch black. Everyone is rushing back home. Seriously i was walking fast but these people were walking seriously fast that I can't catch up. A run might. Lately there has been stabbings in the city and everyone just want to get away from there. I met Emma, my friday-morning-tram-and-walk buddy. Walked together to take the tram. She was worried whether should she catch the bus or tram. Luckily she met her high school friend and he offered to drive her home after the tram. Really envious of them. They live near the beach. It's so OC and I love it! :(
Friday, today. (Sorry for the long week updates). During class, there's this one table of girls and one guy. Two of the girls usually give me the nasty stare if I happen to look in their direction so I get the idea. There's this third girl who just came back from medical leave. I happened to look at their tables direction and saw something was wrong. Third girl called Annie was bending over and there was a small pool of blood. Class hasn't started yet so the girls at her table were rushing to get her toilet paper and they just stood there asking if she's ok. I know I shouldn't be such a busybody but she was seriously dripping blood all over with her nosebleed. She kept bending over. I had to go over to help her. Told her to tilt her head backwards instead. It was really bad. Her jacket had stains of blood and her hands were dripping. It was awful. Could see the two girls were shocked I was there. I slowly had to convince her to go to the toilet and she asked me to follow her there. I've never seen a nose bleed that bad before cos in the toilet, blood was still rushing out. I helped wipe her jacket as she couldn't lean forward. Told her to keep the head back and put something cold on the forehead (that's what my mom did to me). She had some ice lemonade and used that. Luckily the bleeding stopped half an hour later. Phew!
I was pretty glad that my teacher sat next to me and told me to keep up the good work. Said i was being consistent and the black and white grid i did last minute in class was different from the others and it worked. I really like the projects now. I'm starting to see what she wants us to see. *grins*
Ok picture time to stop that boring stories of mine. Have a good one guys!

No. 4 GreenHill. At last the tram pulls up at my stop. As I stand up and await for the driver to fully stop the tram, I spot 2 japanese or korean girls in their extravagent dressing. Somehow my guess still leads to japanese. The outstanding colours, poodle hairdos and weird makeup. I get off the tram and slowly walk towards the road when I heard someone calling 'excuse me! excuse me!' I turned to find two teenage boys (13, 14 years of age) calling for me. Thinking I must have dropped something I turned to look around me when one of them shouted, 'you look funny!'Both of them bursts into laughter as I walked away. They shouted more stuff at me but I chose to ignore them. I clenched my fist and grinded my teeth. How I would like to plunge my fist into their noses or say something but I can't. I have to remember where I am. I'm not in my country, it's their country. I've got no backup.
Yup i wrote this down after I visit Gleneg & Harbour Town. Irony how on that day, I met some nice people. First it was a salesgirl who came up to me to compliment me on my giordano sweater and showed me which are the stuff in the shop that are on offer. Followed by a couple from new south wales who were not sure of the bus stops as well. End up chatting at the bus stop asking me stuff and i was surprised when the lady asked if i found a nice aussie bloke. Told her I got one back home but forgot to mention he ain't aussie. He's mean (i think) and green with the tank. Then there were these two old ladies who were lost like me. Walked together to another bus stop to take the right bus. They were like 'come along, we'll cut through the carpark.' I love australian old ladies. I hope i don't see those boys again. *growls*
Last week of holidays, sad cos I haven't finished my homework. I have so much cutting and research to do. Yesterday i went to the city with my friend to walk around though. Enjoy it before school starts. Been buying clothes for winter or rather autumn. Finally got my new edition of my textbook. Expensive like hell. Did one crazy thing. I walked all the way from the city to home. Yes, I am crazy. Thought I gave it a try and see the sights that I usually pass by in a bus. Stopped by the art shop to get more black paper. I love drawing on them. Result of it, aching feet. Serves me right but it's an experience right?
Celine dion aka flasher has now taken a fancy to me. I opened the door to get ready to walk to the supermarket when a relative of the family was playing outside with the boy. Said hi to him and celine dion kept saying hi to me and walked to me and slap me fives. Wish I could speak baby language to him. 'Stop crying and screaming at night...you should be sleeping'. Funny how his parents still dare not look at me after his flashing incident at my door.
Here are more pics. I hope my blogs don't bore you guys with all these stories and pics. Have a good weekend.

Ah! It's raining! Best be hiding under the covers. Wait, already did that. I've got one more book to finish and pictures to scan. Darn!
It's my sis's birthday and she's having fun at gold coast. Funny how hers falls on easter and mine falls on another occasion which I will not say to protect a dear friend in the same boat.
I've been waking up later for the past two days. Been watching late night tv with movies like Johnny Depp 'From Hell' and Dustin Hoffman 'Moonlight Mile' which also stars Jake - brokeback mountain guy. (will get to that part later on)
Since the weather report said it was gonna rain all day, I had to get my gear together and walk down to buy my weekly milk and daily paper early. On my way back, I heard someone called my name. It was crazy jon! Second time I met him in the area. First time he stood next to me in the supermarket, waiting for me to spot him. If I haven't mentioned jon before, he was a classmate of mine from uni. I haven't seen him around in school lately, thinking that he must have dropped out from school. Cos I know there are some people in my class who aren't interested in doing their work so they drop their classes. How he got his name or rather label? First time we talked, he was mad! Joke like mad and yeah he's the one who asked me the question whether i'm single and shit.
He was on his bike and we had a little chat. Said he dropped out of uni cos he wasn't feeling very well. He's been suffering from depression and he finds it hard to concentrate in school. Asked if he was gonna come back and all since he's one of the oldest in class (26 going 27). Try to study as much as you can while you still have it. He said not this year but next year. He's a pretty fun and crazy bloke. I kinda suspected something was wrong with him cos when you talk to him, he'll stare into space searching for the answer to how was your weekend. It happens quite a bit when you're conversing with him. Just hope he gets better though. Can't call him crazy jon anymore. Just Jon.
Which brings me to labelling. I've been guilty of that like you have nicks for people you see around like in the hougang pool, we'll have the flip guy or the pervert. In poly, we had quite a few which I won't mention *evil grin* Here in school, we have the deep guy. He's a strong silent guy but during tutorials, he seriously knows his shit that all of us can't figure out. There's the swiss guy whom we call 'Fez'. The spanish dude from The 70s Show. We didn't know his name. Like how I label Jake Gyllenhaal as the brokeback mountain guy. Funny how people get their labels and I wonder what mine is besides zeren calling me clumpsy girl.
Yes I had a seriously clumpsy easter sunday. Decided to treat myself by getting myself a meat pie for lunch from the gas station. With miracles happening to it, it fell and landed on my lap. Then while I was researching library books, I keep bumping my knees on the metal legs of the table getting up and sitting down. I have a habit of crossing my legs on chairs. Then I tripped over the heater wire cos I pulled it further out so that it'll blow directly at me while I'm working on the dining table. Luckily I had my chair in front of me to fall on. Is it because i didn't eat any easter eggs? I'm saving my last two for wednesday before my swim.
Dangerous Italian Supreme PieRecently I tried something. Pasta with kangaroo meat. Oh no! Everyone's gonna come after me! Yes I love that animal to bits but I happen to see it in my local supermarket and thought I give it a go. I'm praying it's just from some road kill. Doesn't taste like chicken, doesn't like beef. It has its own taste where it's soft and sticky but a taste which I can't exactly describe though. I'll let you know if i go hopping around.
Mince Kangaroo MeatAfter a week of slacking, I've got 1 part of the drawings done. Insect drawings. Find an insect, draw. Disect it, draw. Eww! Think of the abstract, draw. Weird thing is, my teacher said not to harm the insect. So dissecting is ... ? I can't be bothered to catch some insect and draw it. I mean if it's in my house, it's so dead. Instead I used the monarch butterfly pictures which I took and drew it from there. So these are the outcomes.
Detail drawing using pen
A wing using charcoal
Abstract or not? Oil pastelsGoing to harbourtown with susie tomorrow! Yay! I need to find some long sleeves seriously. Been wearing the same few long sleeves. Also the white long sleeve under different tees. Bleah. Hope everyone had a great easter and have a good week ahead!
PS: There is another marking in the making on the wall above my head. Been taking pictures of the progress. Not scary but truly fasinating just like how I'm trying to figure out what bird makes the same noise as fievel's hiccups. Yes it's like fievel's in the trees.

Hey all...I actually wrote a post but there was a server problem. Everything I've typed is gone so I have to re-type the post again. It was pretty long-winded. Anyway, let me start all over again. This post will contain pictures which may or may not freak you out. It might not but just to warn you guys first.
Firstly, chocolates. Easter chocolates are not created equal. There is this genetic substance called 'GM' which may be harmful. They tested it on some poor lab mice and it affected their growth. So I really hope the remaining eggs that I have won't make me shorter. I just had two so that I can use the energy for my swimming. Click here for the article.
I love watching Rove Live. It's a talkshow where they have so much laughter into it, great looking celebs popping by (like the dashing paul walker *huge grin*), great local music and more laughs. Yesterday there was a naked guy running across the stage. Go figure that one out. There was something that one comedian said or rather it's a thought he shared. I find it interesting so here it is.
The word 'sorta' means nothing. It's like a filler. Imagine these situations.
I love you...sorta
You're going to die in 3 months ..sorta
It's a boy! ... sorta
Here are the freaky pictures but here's the lowdown. I was reading a magazine on my bed but was facing the wall instead by chance. I looked up and saw some weird marks on the wall near the cross. I haven't noticed them there cos usually the light bounces of it and you just see a flat white. But in my angle, I saw these winged markings. Are they angels or something else? Do let me know.

I don't know whether they have an effect on me. Only recently I have 2 bad dreams. First was I dreamt of someone close who died and I blamed myself for it cos I wasn't around. I won't say who but this is the second time in this year that I've dreamt of someone dying. Third in the lifetime I've remembered. Don't dig it out from me guys. I'm not saying anything. Second dream was a weird dream where this actress who plays a psychic in some show is a desperate housewife in my dream and she's trying to kill me. Why do I dream of people killing me? Am I that killable? Maybe yeah but next time I'll double check if there's some sign on my back saying 'kill me' before I go to bed.
On the lighter note of the killing, bad easter eggs and weird markings, my friends and I headed up to hahndorf. I had this crazy idea to eat ice cream when it's already freezing with the cold wind blowing. Susie and Renee loved the idea and went for it, end up me freezing the most. Renee has lived here for over 3 years, Susie, her whole life. And me?
Proceeded to the lolly shop aka mini willy wonka shop, followed by lunch at a german bakery. I had this delicious curry pie which didn't taste like curry. It had this raisins inside which has prompted me to make raisin sauce of my own. It tastes really good with meats so anyone who wants the recipe, feel free to ask.
Went to a vintage shop which I adore the most. From the 40s - 70s. Susie bought a samantha bewitched outfit which looks good on her. 35 bucks! I got a scarf for 20 bucks. Followed by a second hand shop where I got 2 magazines for my art project. 50 cents each! I saw the scarf I've been eyeing on. Bold black and white stripes! Guess how much... 2 smackaroos!
I was just wondering whether they play a game here in adelaide called spot the asian and identify where he/she is from? A lady at the hahndorf art gallery was asking am I from china and japan? I told her singapore and she was like 'oops!' Anyway, her husband has fabulous drawings and paintings. Wish he take me in as his disciple. Wax on, wax off. Back to the game, last week in the city, I was with camilla when these bunch of abc dudes stopped us. They were promoting 'save the children'. This dude at the back goes.
abc dude: are you from malaysia?
me: eh no...singapore.
He claps his hand in huge disappointment and turns back to me.
abc dude: but hey! I was close.
Yeah your definition of close is a crossway? Maybe i should play a game with these fellows next time. Spot the jackass! That'll be real fun too won't it?
Anyway, here are the pics.

School is over and two weeks break is here! Beautiful isn't it? Warning guys...this will be another entry full of photos.
What has been up? Weather is seriously gone whacked. Coldest we had was 17 degrees and my 'winter' jacket from baleno ain't thick enough. To top it off, it was drizzling. Now I can see why girls are wearing scarfs. Cos I don't usually zip my jackets to the top, it'll choke me. Your neck actually can get cold, even the ears. Thus, good that I have long hair though I'm gonna pluck up the courage to go for my first aussie trim. Trim not cut. My new home clothes includes a huge 'hand-me-downs-from-sis' nike sweater which currently i'm swimming in it. It's freaking huge but it keeps me warm in the house, what the heck?
Past week I've been getting pretty bad cuts from I have no idea where. The worse one was this broken cut which starts from the knuckles all the way down to a firm straight cut at the arm. I didn't feel the pain till I looked at my arm during class. It was bleeding and when I touched it, ouch! I've never had such a long cut before. The recent one I had was yesterday, think it was from a plastic box. Yeah they're cuts but why am I talking about them? You see, when you step outside, the cold and dryness tightens up the skin causing it to hurt and burn more. I came back this morning to find my new cut bleeding. It was too cold and dry that it bleed. Thus, the burning.
Yesterday was the last day of school and we had a little easter party during class. Bring either eggs or hot cross buns. I went to target the day before to get some nice eggs since they were much cheaper and more variety. I bought a cadbury carton which has delicious beautiful chocolate and some fairy eggs. All sizes of the usual eggs. It was fun cos we all got to snack during class. I was delivering some snacks to my friend's class to share the spirit. My friends did the same to the other classes. We had the russian twin guys to help clean up the rest of the snacks. They took whatever they could take. My friend, Jacintha and I bet one of them will take the biggest golden egg. It came true though I'm not sure whether it was bob or dima who took it. They look so alike that no one can tell them apart.
Bought some fresh salmon for dinner last night. Been watching this cooking competition and this guy was cutting up fresh tuna for sashimi. I couldn't help it but to get some for myself. It was beautiful. I was floating higher than cloud 9. I closed my eyes and savoured the beautiful freshness and smiled. Yeah, that's how good it is. I even had some salad with fresh tomatos just picked in the morning. Sweet juicy red buggers. I love them.
Just now when I came back from getting the morning paper, I left the door open so that I could carry my newspapers out. My newspapers are usually placed next to the front door so I had to leave it open while I bend down to carry them. 3 weeks of papers. Little did I know, I had a little visitor. My little celine dion from next door which now will have a new nickname from me. The flasher-in-training. Yup, he walked into my apartment wearing a nice sweater and nothing below with his bits hanging out. He smiled at me and I said hello with the 'what the hell' look on my face. His mom comes grabbing him and apologises. I just bend down for 2 seconds and in comes the flasher. He must be thinking 'hey lady! check out my gear!' By the way i thought he was 2, 3 years old? I think he's only a yr old at most. Gee. Better watch up ladies when you pick up the paper from the ground for 2 seconds.
Planning on going to hahndoft next monday. I'm like inviting more people to come along cos most of them are like ... I have no idea what to do during the holidays beside holiday homework. It'll be fun. Girls day out in the german village. Ok, here are the photos.

Some pictures have included them but they happen to be in them cos I just wanted to take pictures of the artwork. Siti, I hope that aussie guy pic is enough for you for now. Have a great weekend!

I'm writing this at 7.51am, with cold finger tips due to the 13 degree, listening to Zero 7. Adelaide time has officially turned an hour back as daylight savings have been turned off. It was delayed due to the commonwealth games. That one hour makes a huge difference. I usually wake up at 7+ but I woke up at 6 this morning. Your stomach is deeply affected as you'll have to slowly get used to it. Already I get hungry every 3 hours. Yes my appetite has been pretty good but I'm losing weight still. Been walking alot, doing early exercises in the morning (mainly to keep myself warm in those chilly mornings) and the cold makes me burn more. I finish a 2 litre jug of milk every week and a box of cereal in 2 weeks. Yes that's how bad it is.
My new neighbours have moved in. I got a feeling I'll be having a problem with them. I'm thinking I won't be the only one. It's an indian couple with their 2, 3 year old boy. The boy is the problem. He screams every 15 minutes and as I'm drawing in this peaceful environment, you get a scream out of nowhere which is seriously annoying. When his mom was dragging his learning feet to walk, he fell on the concrete step and celine dion flew out of his freakin mouth. I was like shit. I'm so dead now. I guess when it does get too far, I have to tell them nicely to keep it down or cross my fingers that the australians living upstairs will come down and give them their peace of mind. Here I am trying to finish another ridiculous assignment where I have to give 12 drawings of a sneaker by tuesday. This kid affects my serenity. Plus he's the first kid to live in the apartment area. Everyone who lives here are either students, working adults. No kids at all. It's not really an area for kids to be in.
Having another insect situation. First it was ants, spiders and ants again. My my, what might be crawling in claire's little place? Millipedes. Yup, those slugs with hundreds of legs crawling. For the past 3 days, I've been scooping them up with paper and throwing them into the toilet bowl. First two days, I kill an average of 5, 10 a day. I call them the 'rolly pollies' as I'm reading 'To Kill a Mockingbird' now. That's what Scout calls them as when you touch them they roll themselves up. But when I got back on wednesday, I saw one hanging on the curtain and one on the floor. They were frozen dead. I didn't realised that it was that cold inside the house.
This week is my last week of school. Yay! But I have big assignments to finish up. Easter school holidays for two weeks. Easter eggs are out in full force from the tiny ones to the giant ones. Here's one of the stores in adelaide. Haigh's Chocolates
Hot Cross buns are also out in full force. Everyone keeps talking about them so I had to try some myself. They're really good and they're out for the easter season.
One of the latest news here was some of the commonwealth athletes have gone missing. They have ran away because they did not want to go back to their home countries for fear of their lives. One of them had commented that he saw his sister and boyfriend being burnt alive and showed his stab wounds from previously. I don't blame them for running away. Just hope that the australian government can do something for them.
Another funny issue that came up over the radio a few days ago. Dress codes in the office. Yup. Women are wearing too low cut tops or too revealing elsewhere I wouldn't wanna know. I've seen too many buttcracks here in 5 weeks compared to my 3 years in SP. Back in sp, there were some girls who were into the tight levi's and they proud of their 'pathways'. Many female callers called up saying that there's nothing wrong. Got it? Flaunt it! The radio host hit back to one of the callers whether has anyone commented about her dressing. She said yeah and laughed that they said it was slutty. Right...she's proud to be slutty. I had this girl in my class who loves to wear this black off shoulder V neck blouse every week and when she bents, her bra is exposed, maybe more I wouldn't want to know.
Here are more pics. Maybe I'll catch a nap later. *huge yawn*
