It's been a week since Finn's death. Everything's alright I guess. Feeling alittle empty but now I'm giving Fievel alot of attention. Maybe too much cos he's making use of me! For the first two days, he was lost, was looking for his brother. After that he realised he's gone. So he would stone alot. Now he's much better. I'll wake him a couple times just to play with him so that he won't be lonely. Wonder if that was a good idea. I don't know what's up with him. Living his second childhood way before Finn fell sick. He's looking much younger, got back his baby face, his baby fur, baby smell and energy like a youngster. *scratch head* I can't figure out why.

Tomorrow will be my last day of work. Half excited, half sad. Excited that I won't have to face the naughty primary 2s. Sad because most of the students are really nice. 5A was greeting us goodbye when the boys suddenly greeted 'we will miss you miss wee'. I had ??? all over my head. Cos these were the EM1 kids who were pretty stuck up towards me in the beginning. They see i'm just an assistant trainer. Don't know what to do. They'll only greet my colleague in the hallways. After I taught them a bit of flash, they changed totally.
Same case for a group of girls from another pri 5 class. The 'leader' would roll her eyes at me when i'm helping the group or speak with some attitude problem. After I solve their missing files issue, she changed instantly. She would say 'I love you' on the hallways. More ????? Her reply was because I'm cute? Wrong word for wrong person there.
One primary 2 would refuse to follow my group cos she insists she doesn't like me. She would say it pretty loud. Then I find her staying close with me and striking up conversations. Now she jumps when she sees me.
I guess these are the cases that really makes me smile. Glad to know that I can help them or teach them stuff. Now I'll have to wait for another job. Exams in October. Honestly I don't earn much from this job but it keeps me happy. I'll be concentrating on my driving instead.
Less than 4 months, I'll be going. Still caught in the middle but it's becoming more obvious that I'm pointing more to Adelaide. Everything is settled there. Decision time again!
Enough of my long-winded post, you guys enjoy the weekend!

Goodbye Finn
I am sorry for not giving you your medication as i had to rush to work. I was hoping to come back in the afternoon to feed you. I am sorry I caused your horrible fate. I never meant for it to happen. I never knew your tumors would rapture like this. I never knew how much pain you went through until I saw your fingers all gone. I'm really sorry. Even though I took lots of pictures the day before. I never knew you would leave so soon. You were always very loving and i'll remember you as a good boy aka my mini polar bear.

Times with his brother Fievel

The day before

We loved you very much. Rest in peace boy.

Recently we had a evaluation form for the primary 2s. Can't help but share some of their answers to this question:
"What else did you like about this workshop?" (powerpoint)
'I like when I click the mouse I hear sound.'
'I like the conducters and the aircon.'
'I like the cooling air condition.'
'Because the room is air-conditioned.'
'It teacher's me how to make instresting things.'
'I like the people who teach us.'
'Nothing.'
These are the actual spellings they wrote down. In case you're wondering, about 5-6 put down they like the air-condition answer.

A trip to the vet
Finally convinced my dad that we need to take Finn to the vet. The night before, I fed him some milk and i heard that the next morning, he was really active. Milk does wonders for small animals? But safer to see the vet. We decided to bring Fievel along and he was simply terrible!! He's all excited going into the outside world that he couldn't stop climbing, peeping his head out. He was pretty distracting during the wait and while the vet was trying to tell me what's wrong. He was running in the bag, on the table. This guy is simply living his second childhood. I wonder why!!
Back to Finn, he has tumors over his body. He has cancer in his right lymph nodes, thus the tumors keep spreading. I just found another one last night under his mouth. Nothing much we can do but some medication to stop the tumors from growing. Wait about 10 days to see whether it gets better or not. Other than that, give him the best of his days with lots of tlc. The doctor said he's surprised they managed to live over 2 yrs. And I'm surprised he said that! Anyway, have to fight with finn now to put the antibiotic powder. He bites me because he hates it but it's for his own good.
I think it'll be weird for some people reading my blog. Worrying over a hamster? He ain't just a hamster, he's my baby. I'm only the worried mom.
Another 2 more weeks before i finish work. I'll try to apply for another job which is more flexible so I can squeeze in my driving lessons. So far it's going alright. Just wish I could absorb more and learn faster. I'm already done with the secondary school and I'm left with the primary school. There's one pri 5 girl who's pretty scary. Wants to add me in msn and two days ago, i was teaching her friend next to her when she suddenly reach out and touch my hair in a strange manner. Kinda freaky. Just hope she doesn't find my blog. Eeks!!
Went to the Hyundai and Jeep showroom yesterday. Some fiery red caught my eye. Simple a true beauty. A red Jeep Wrangler Sport. One of my dream cars. Beautiful.

Hey all...thank to those who responded to the last post. I've yet to take him to the vet. Firstly, my dad doesn't want him to go to one. He's worried that they might end up putting him to sleep because they see such a small animal, can't do much. That's singapore for you there. His condition has indeed gotten worse those. More lumps have appeared. Two are on his right leg. They have ballooned up that it makes walking alittle difficult for him. At least he's still active somehow. Fievel has taken to sleeping next to him to keep him company. He really loves his brother even though he steals all the food!
It's back to school for me this week. Last week was the one week holiday. Thinking that I'll be able to enjoy the rest, it turned out to be a really bad week for me. A lot of problems...family, money. There was one where I was supposed to be a lady for a job interview at coffee bean. It's for another freelance job from some unknown company. I waited there like an idiot and the bitch didn't show up. Yes I was pissed off but i tried to cool it cos zeren was with me at that time. Other than that, thanks for having that talk with me and sorry for making you worried! It really does seem that I'm down on my luck. Bad things are meant to happen to Claire! That kinda thing. It sucks but shit happens! I think too often for me!
I have another 3 more weeks of work before the schools break off for their exams. I'll be concentrating more on my driving lessons. Trying to finish them as soon as I can. It's tough but I gotta do it soon.
Really hope everything turns out better this week. *cross finger*

It's been almost 2 weeks since we first discovered a lump on Finn's body. A week ago we found another one. I figured that it could be some kinda growth but a different kind compared to what the previous hamsters had. This one looks worse. My dad figured that it's a bee sting. For a moment, we put some medication. It looked like it was getting better but now it seems to be spreading. I'll discuss with my dad whether we'll take him to the vet. Another concern is that he's too small for the vet to care for. Good thing is, Finn doesn't seem to be any pain. He's still his lively self. Wanna keep this two as long as possible before I go overseas cos I won't be able to have anymore small companions after this. I just want him to get better.

Happy Birthday Siti!!
No longer a teen...welcome to the big '2'. Last night we celebrated siti's birthday. It was really good to see everyone. Had our dinner at Breeks and I love Ocean Mocktail. Literally drifted to a happy place :)
It was really fun cos we took alot of weird pictures. It was interesting to see Siti's face when the staff started singing a birthday song. Hopefully we could do another gathering...prob after han's 2 weeks. (Get the before and after hairdo)
I had a silly thought when I woke up this morning. I thought of buying another camera. A lot of people would probably be wondering why the heck am I buying another camera when I have plenty...correction, I don't have plenty. I'm just looking for a small one where I could carry with me and take simple shots or when I'm out with people. The small one that I'm using belongs to my sis's and it's small but it's still pretty average. I gave my first digital camera to my dad to use. He wants to learn how to take photos with a digital instead of a film camera.
I was thinking of getting the small one before I leave to Australia. Had to consult a couple of people. I'm looking at the Canon Ixus i5, Nikon coolpix S1 and prob check out the Sony T5, T7 for fun. They're still pretty new. Wanted to go to Comex but I thought it'll be too rash of me to get one fast. So I'll probably wait till end of the year, hoping that the prices will drop. *cross fingers* If you guys have any recommendations, feel free to let me know. Thanks!
Speaking of Australia, I might not be going to Perth. I might be heading to Adelaide instead. Apparently ECU has changed its system alittle. They cannot decide how many years I'll be doing until at the middle of the course where you choose your major. It might 2, 3 years. As for UNISA, it's pretty much set that I'll be doing 2 years. I'll wait for ECU's reply first before making my decision. Got another 2 weeks to decide. I really hate major decisions. I'm always scared that I make the wrong one and beat myself up over it. Really cross fingers that things will work out and see which university is more suitable for me.
Anyway, I'll upload pictures of Siti's party soon. Meantime, enjoy your weekend!
