I'm glad that the fate of modelling buildings have finally left my hands. Tracy and see wee put together a great landscape. It's really beautiful. Great job guys! Been pushing the deadline for acan for my friends. Thought we could finish it and concentrate on fyp but i guess it's the other way round. My bad. I know we can do it.
Lately, I haven't been feeling too good. A lot of stuff going on at home concerning parties and overseas studies. My mom is pretty persistent on my sis and i to stay together in one state but it's obvious that my sis wants to go to brisbane cos of her boyfriend. Somehow I prefer to study in perth. ECU is still my first choice but i'm exploring other options just in case. Checked out QUT and basically it's just advance of what I'm doing. So no there. Have yet to check out UQ. Sigh. I really don't know what's going to happen after poly. I just know it's going to be harder.
Another issue that came up is a friend of mine. I realised he's becoming pretty hostile towards me. I don't know what's going on that it bothers me a bit. It reminds me alot of secondary school. Some friends just act normal one day and the next, they're treating you like you did something wrong. It bugs you to know where the fault lies. Really ironic thing is today siti and i had this conversation where we were talking about people back in secondary school. Talked about our situations and the way we were treated and how we have changed. We always go back to how we first met cos it was really interesting.
I still remember back in secondary 3 where it was just the starting of school and i had this small group of friends since sec 2. One of them started to spread rumors about me to the rest and I ended up being a loner. I knew it was about math. I like math and was good at it. She wasn't too happy about that. Best part of that year was I was able to do very well in my studies. After that, she came to me when she needed help and treated me like dirt. Had to brush her aside. To top it off for the next two years was the normal classes were being treated like crap. A lot of people thought they were on top of us. School days eh...
So I really don't know what's going on. I really don't. Though now i wish i was like in my secondary school days where i get to hide one corner and stay outta the world. I feel better that way. Cos i know lately, i haven't been that good with words and reactions for the past 2 weeks.

Monday morning...feel great. Just got back from my morning swim which I've been longing for. Supposed to go swimming with my friends yesterday but I was feeling way too tired so we called it off. This morning I woke up with bloodshot eyes and bodyaches. I couldn't sleep properly because of the aches. I didn't even do anything that would cause aches. Thankfully, the swim kinda made everything better. Very refreshing and a therapy to the stress piled up for the past few days. I'm so thankful there's no more audio classes. No need to face rodrigues and one less assignment. Don't have to come so early to school tomorrow.
Best part about waking up these days, i get to see 2 big black eyes greeting me. I put the hamster cage near my bed cos it's been pretty hot. Let these fellows have some luxury. Finn is so sweet to wait at the door and when i'm up, he gets so excited. Best part about pets.
Last night's peiyan's party was fun. It turned out better than I expected. One of my favourite parts was playing the guitar with Justin. I've never played together with another guitar player. Back in secondary school, not many people have that crazy about the guitar. It was cool. Actually I felt alittle distant from some friends at the party. Maybe it's just me. No worries, it's not the crazy bunch I'm with. They were whacked! I really liked the part where liuyong put up a good show with the fire. Beautiful. And the part where they told peiyan they got an ipod for her. Touching.
On the way back in the car with my dad, we had this interesting conversation. More like the topic. I was shocked and amused by it. Never in my almost 21 years has he ever brought up this topic besides the opposite and that he might use a shotgun or a knife. Other than that, he says it's good that I'm focused.
Thankfully, I finished my 'destruction' on sat. Spent the whole day working on it and I hope ahmad would accept it. Today, acan and relax alittle.
By the way, do i really look like a person who doesn't touch alcohol? *shrugs*

You know those moments where you're coming so close to finishing something good but it screws up the last minute? It happened to my group today. The track was done and we were happy about it. It came to organising the files into folders. We created a new folder in the D drive and tried to move everything inside it. During the process, everything disappeared. Audio files plus the cubase. All gone. Nowhere to be salvaged. Bloody fuck man. This had to happened. I feel really bad cos I saved the final audio files into my mp3 player so that I could keep it. I didn't save the cubase files together cos cubase didn't work at home. Now, stepanie and shih han had to redo what was lost. I should've saved it just in case.
I had to go off cos my dad was picking me up at 2+. Thought everything was done by then and I could go home and catch up with some sleep and this had to happen. My dad came all the way and somehow i couldn't let him wait. Impatience = my dad. I was pretty quiet on my way back. The dumb part was when i got home, I started crying. I'm trying so hard not to but i just broke down. Since yesterday, I kept thinking on how was i gonna go about doing acan, fyp and audio. Having a lot of problems with fyp and with this new problem with audio. Felt better after getting some sleep and a hot shower. Just got a call from Steph and it's almost done. I'm so making up to her by helping her with acan. Shih han, don't know how to compensate him man. Now I'm gonna try to finish the destruction by tomorrow. Got a couple of things going on on sunday.
Shit happens!
For the past few weeks, my mom keeps asking why isn't my assignments done. Everytime she starts, I have to start explaining each project to her. It's a big project broken down to small stages. After that, she forgets and she starts again. It's alittle frustrating and she keeps chasing me to bed late at night. It's a bit difficult. I know she's concerned and I just want her to understand. No need chicken essence. Just need more ideas to get everything done properly. Sigh...

I found a new love! Drums! Yeah! After Mick thought me some stuff, I'm determined to learn to play the drums no matter what. Reminds me back when I wanted to learn the guitar and I did except this time round, i need someone to teach me and I need the drums to practise. I wouldn't mind having drums in my house but there's no space and the neighbors would properly started complaining. Plus there's a butcher living above us and he's got this irritating grinding machine. It felt really awesome learning it. I'm like a kid in a candy shop. Lol. Hopefully, i can find a way to learn it. Thanks mick! I'm loving the Drumline Senate.
Managed to do alot of recording in 4 hours. We redid some stuff and had to use another mp3 player to record to keep the timing. Complicated but I'm glad we're 90% done.
Lately, I've been having weird dreams. For the night before, I had this dream where I had to look after these 3 supermodels to china, i think. They were so freaking tall and i'm this small fellow looking after them. Gee. Last night, I dreamt of this old man, early 1900s, wearing this black suit and a top hat. He was driving a carriage pulled by two white horses. He was jumping between two cliffs and he did it so elegantly. It was so beautiful and the cliffs were extremely high. He kept on riding along the edges and jumping. Woah.
I'm pretty much hooked on Zoo Tycoon now. You get to set up your own zoo, choose the animals and build their exhibits plus more stuff. I recently started another zoo with more land this time. Had a lion and 2 lioness. After that, they had like 6 cubs. All females! Man, can't they have like a male or something. Had to sell some females. At least the wolves are producing some males to keep it going. Anyway, back to work. *groans*

Read an article in the papers yesterday about how looking at boobs is healthy for the body/mind. It's really disgusting. Yesterday at the pool, my friend and I were packing up and leave when this middle age man, walked beside my friend and looked down. I stared at him real hard until he quickly walked ahead. He's got freakin' kids at the pool on my right!! Healthy? Healthy my arse! They're looking more to a fist in their face. It is still disrespectful especially those fellows above 35. Now we have to beware of another 'old man' in the pool. He wears goggles with one side pink, one side green. Uncles, these days!
Anyway, today i have to finish the general acan. Will do the touch up either tomorrow or wed. Promised edmund two more buildings. This is the second last week. Now that my sis is back, my morning is back to being disrupted. The cons of sharing a room with your sibling. Sigh...I need the sleep. :(

The letter that I've been waiting for has arrived. I got accepted to Edith Cowan University! I feel relieved that I got a spot. One part of the program that was highlighted, It is important that prospective students have an interest in visual communication and design and a commitment to extend their practice and critical awareness as autonomous professional designers. Reminded me of yesterday's guest lecture. Still can't believe that guy works for the Southern Star.
Told the news to some of my friends. Fyan didn't look too happy. Said he didn't know whether to congratulate me cos he's feeling sad. We haven't taken our usual bus trashing rides this semester and we only caught up like once during audio lecture. No worries, we'll catch up. I was kinda surprised that my mom came up with an idea. She wanted to do some business in australia herself. She didn't want to stay in singapore alone with my grandma and grandaunt. Lately, my grandaunt has been craving for attention that is driving all of us nuts including my grandma. I would say that she could be equivalent as a spoilt kid. For me, I just keep quiet. She grumbles to me and I can only listen. She's the kinda person who you have to watch out what you say. Even a good thing could sound like an insult to her. Back to my mom, it's good that she came up with this idea. At least I know she would be fine. Right now, this is just step 1. I have to prepare my portfolio for an interview and presentation. Will start doing this immediately after my fyp. I'll break the news to my other friends this weekend.
Lately I've been noticing that I've avoiding eye contact from alot of people(familiar faces too) except when I'm speaking to them. Like I can be walking in the foodcourt, i prefer to turn and talk to my friend or look at the floor. I just escape eye contact from people. It's kinda weird cos I don't usually do that. The ground always seem nicer to look at or the wall. Claire is back to being shy again. I hope not! I've been a nervous wreck these past few days. That could be it.
Been getting alot of sleep too. Slept 11 hours straight. It was supposed to be a nap but I slept right thru the night. I think it's the best sleep i've ever gotten in ages.
I'm left with more modelling and animation to do. I'm worried that I may flunk audio. The practical test was terrible cos I was so nervous. No idea why. The previous recording session screwed up! The communication systems and recording had alot of problems for 3 hours and no one was available to fix the problem. Luckily i left a message for Spicer and he came to our rescue. Another mishap happened when we lost some stuff. Really grateful to Jenna and Indra's group for giving up their one hour session for us. Big thanks! Booked one more session and we have to finish everything by then. Have to practise some songs and crossing my fingers that they'll leave me out for the vocals this time round. Other than that, trying to finish up acan by this weekend plus 5 more buildings for fyp. I'll be sick of buildings pretty soon.
Anyway, 2 more weeks. Jia you! Sorry for the long post. Enjoy your weekend.

What a morning! Dad's car couldn't get started properly this morning. He needed to refill water to cool the radiator. I think the weather is causing it to overheat and pretty much, my dad is throwing tantrum. Was late for church and I ended up taking my dad's phone and start drawing. Nothing new there. Somehow I wish the pastor would speak faster. I realised he speaks really slow today. I would have snoozed if it wasn't for my dad's phone to keep me busy.
After that we dropped by Shop N Save to get my mom's stuff. My dad and I bought some stuff from Guardian and we ended up getting up alot of free stuff. I only bought a $3 gel. When we were about to load the stuff in the car, it was raining heavily. I got wet again!! sorry, not wet...drenched!! Mom and I were sharing a big umbrella but it was pointless. The wind was blowing the rain sideways and this time, my whole body was almost soaked. I think God is playing a trick on me...again. Thankfully, I was wearing a skirt this round. Now I'm looking outta the window and the sun is shining. Urggh!
My sis called this morning and told me she'll be going to a pro surf competition tomorrow. I'm so jealous!! It's a big thing with all the major sponsers there! Told her to take loads and loads of pictures. Videos would be better. I only get to watch these competitions in Boarding House and if I'm lucky, AXN. My parents doesn't want to subscribe to the sports channel. I so want to learn surfing once I get over there. I read somewhere that it's AUS$55 for 2 hours. Seems alright to me.
Managed to catch up with my friend during our swim session. Seems like a while we haven't seen each other. Kept chatting so much that I got sunburn again. :(
She was asking when i was going to aus and asking to come back quickly. No matter what, singapore is still home. I'll definitely come back here. Oh yeah, she keeps saying I'm crazy. Only a few days ago, I got Justin and Siti saying I'm getting crazier. Am I that crazy? Am I that nuts?! Yikes! Eeks! Doh!
Nah, I think I'm alittle pressured thus the nutiness in me. Have alot of things going on and I'm trying hard to push myself harder for my assignments. Only about 3 weeks left and it's real short.
Enjoy your sunday!

My body is feeling crappy at the moment thanks to the lovely rain. Don't mind me, I welcome the refreshing rain after all that heatwave. Just a stroke of bad luck. Was carrying my umbrella when I got slammed with heavy rain and there were pools everywhere. My jeans were soaked and that tiny umbrella was only able to shelter the upper half of me. Got some stares but there's nothing I can do except wait for it to dry off. Was shivering in the lecture theater and the bus. Couldn't wait to get back home to have a hot bath, some food and hide under the covers. I think with the addition of my morning swim, it added to the crappy state. I don't want to fall sick! Crucial period!
My friend has been asking me to send in an application. Her aunt is scouting for talents and looking for models. I kinda given up the idea of modelling. I'm not thinking highly of myself but somehow i just want to try for the fun of it. :)
My hamsters have been kicked outta room now that the heatwave is over. They've been sharing the aircon with my sis and me for a few days. My sis has been bugging me to kick them out cos of the noise they make. I was only disturbed by them for one night and they're right next to me. Caught both of them running on the wheel. A quote from a recent article by Paul Zach, something like 'running on the wheel fast enough to generate electricity for the entire los angeles as well as the noise'. Totally agree with him. If pinky was still around, he'll power up the entire singapore and malaysia.
Anyway, have a good weekend!
